U.S.Naval Academy Introductory Flight Screening

U.S. Naval Academy Flight TrainingIntroductory Flight Screening is the first step to becoming a Naval Aviator. All new flight school students first enroll in a civilian flight school for 15 hours of flight training in a small general aviation aircraft, and is required to solo.
The purpose of IFS is to screen all students to see their aptitude for flight in actual aircraft, before sending them through all of flight school. Students who already have a Private Pilot Certificate skip IFS and go straight to Aviation Preflight Indoctrination (API). Trident is proud to be one of the few flight schools in the Gulf Shore region to offer this exclusive training.
