Earning Your Private Pilot's License With Trident Aircraft

To get a private pilot’s license, you must :
  • Be at least 17 years
  • Have a current FAA third-class medical certificate
  • Log at least 40 hours of flight
  • Have at least 20 hours of flight with an instructor
  • Have at least 10 hours of solo flight
  • Pass the FAA Private Pilot Airmen Knowledge written test
  • Pass a FAA Private Pilot flight exam

Approximate Cost:

FAA Medical Certification:  $75

Private Pilot Knowledge test preparation course:  $125

Private Pilot Knowledge test:   $90

Aircraft Rental:
    Cessna 152 (for pilots less than 6’ in height and 190lbs)
    $69/flight hour *40 Hours = $2760
    Cessna 172 (for our larger pilots)
    $96/flight hour *40 Hours = $3860

Flight and Ground Instruction:
     $35/hours * 25 Hours = $875

Flight Exam:  $300

All of the approximate numbers above are if the training is completed at the FAA minimum standards.  Total Cost as shown above:
Cessna 152 = $4225
Cessna 172 = $5325
